The rush of right before you are about to go onto stage.
Your heart is pumping like drum, sweat is going down your fore head. You are
going over your lines in your head hoping you wont mess up on anything. Fixing
your costume, making everything perfect, this is the rush of theater.
I have been in High School theater since I was in 4th
grade. I have grown a lot since that one performance as a wondering little boy
in big fish. In total I have been in 5 musicals and each play I have had at
least three lines. Also every play I have done, I would get this anxiety and I
would be so scared before I would go on stage. At one point I got so scared I
messed up my dance move. I was a police officer in pirates of Penzance and my
job was to throw a sword in the air. I had to throw the sword over the pirate
and ketch it and continue fighting. Well the last night of performing all my
friends came to see me and I got so nervous that I didn’t ketch the sword.
My dream is to dance on Broadway. I wish to Dance to “Never
be enough” from the greatest show man. It starts out with the singing lady in
the white dress and then me and some lady comes on and dances ballet. I’m not a
huge ballet dancer but I can do some-what. I’ve had a dream of going to Wisconsin
University in Madison since I was 7. I plan on enrolling there and getting a bachelors
degree in Fine arts. That includes dancing and acting, which are both a passion
of mine.

ReplyDeleteThe blog was really good. It was sometimes confusing until I re-read it a few times. You met your goal on practicing your voice. In the intro paragraph it was a little confusing on the last sentence I don't think that the sentence is that rule for the subject agreement rules.
ReplyDeleteYour introduction contains great details and when you read it, you can feel the passion. Love the simile you used...heart beating like a drum. The following are errors that I want you to correct: won't, high school not High School, BIG FISH, five not 5, PIRATES OF PENZANCE becuase it's a full-length musical, catch not ketch, dance not DANCE, GREATEST SHOWMAN ,
